After completing my undergraduate degree at Kings College London, I accepted an international teaching offer to become the new ESL (English as a Second Language) instructor at Qianhai Harbour School, in the city of Shenzhen, People’s Republic of China. Alongside preparing for and teaching my allocated classes, as I was the first foreign expat teacher to be employed at the school, I became a prolific spokesperson and ambassador at the school, consulting on all matters pertaining to English language teaching, and representing the school at several International events.
I was later asked to collaborate with the school's in-house production team to create digital visual media assets, such as online tutorials and introduction videos, for both educational and promotional purposes. These videos were eventually published on the school's website as a means to broadcast the school's facilities, faculty members, and educational offering to online netizens, in the hopes that they could recruit new, promising students. Some of these videos, like the one featured below, were also submitted as a self-introduction for international teaching competitions, and cultural exchange programs.
